Us

Schuyler and Merritt are Bay Area natives who currently enjoy living and raising a family in Albany. Since 1998 they have been a part of Red Oak Realty, one of the leading independent real estate firms in the East Bay. They are proud to be part of Red Oak because of its unique culture, community service, integrity, and professionalism.

Our background

Beginning their careers in the construction trades, they learned about homes from the foundation up. Subsequently, Merritt worked with Red Oak’s co-founder and top producer, Pat Leaper, for many years helping hundred’s of buyers and sellers. Schuyler was licensed as a real estate appraiser, and spent several years as a sales associate before managing Red Oak Realty’s Oakland office. His activities included assisting 30 agents negotiate and navigate the complexities of over 500 transactions. Schuyler and Merritt’s combined experience provides their clients with a critical advantage in today’s competitive market.

Our American Dream

Schuyler and Merritt have been successfully investing in Real Estate since 1996. Their home and other investments are located in Albany, Berkeley, and Oakland; the very same areas in which they have specialized during their career. In addition, they have developed two condominium projects locally; a total of 17 units.

The heart of their business is helping friends, family, and those referred reach their real estate goals. Whether it’s buying a first home, selling a third or investing in income property, Schuyler and Merritt can accomplish it all.
